With the development and implementation of a revolutionary, new technology like AI comes the need for change. Infrastructure, daily habits, and production investments will have to evolve to allow for safe use of automation and AI. However, with all change comes resistance and the AI revolution is no different.
Resistance to Change
Automated vehicles will replace humans inside cars and trucks. AI software applications will eliminate the need for proofreaders and data analyzers. With this fear of replacement and high price tags comes pushback from citizens, businesses, and legislature.
The Possibilities of AI
That said, AI is a technology that can lead to a very bright, knowledgeable, and productive future. With it, researchers can create an even better standard of living for all, find alternate renewable resources, cure viruses and diseases, bridge inequalities, save lives in many ways, and ultimately extend the longevity of humanity and our progression. Therefore, change is needed, encouraged, and should be accepted by all.
