AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT: AVT Simulation Awarded DVTE for Marine Corps ECS
AVT Simulation has won a task order under our Electronic and Communication Services (ECS) contract vehicle called Deployable Virtual Training Environment (DVTE).
DVTE is a suite of programs that provides simulation-based training systems capable of emulating and simulating a wide variety of weapons systems and platforms utilizing high-fidelity terrain databases and realistic training scenarios. The primary purpose of DVTE is to provide training opportunities to Marines from the individual Marine to staff level while aboard ship, forward-deployed, in garrison, in the schoolhouse, or in the Reserve component. DVTE provides commanders another venue for unit training to improve unit proficiency and currency through continual application and remediation of individual and collective combat skills.

DVTE emphasizes combined arms, small-unit, and individual tactical training. It provides flexible combined arms training for Fire Support Teams (FiSTs)/Battalion Fire Support Coordination Centers (FSCCs) through a combination of simulations that can interface with Command and Control (C2) systems to facilitate training of a variety of fire support platforms. Additionally, DVTE hosts computer-based tactical decision-making tools that offer situational awareness through recognition of combatants and improvised explosive devices, self-paced foreign language training, and cultural knowledge. The system provides ground truth in the exercise, a three-dimensional (3D) visual display of the impact of supporting arms fire, replication of tactical communications, and an After-Action Review (AAR) featuring playback options for meaningful exercise data.
