AVT SIMULATION AWARDED DISTRIBUTED OPERATIONS CENTER (DTOC) CONTRACT BY AIR NATIONAL GUARD (ANG)

Orlando, FL – September 28^th — AVT is pleased to announce that we received a new award for the Air National Guard (ANG) to upgrade their Distributed Training Operations Center (DTOC). The ANG DTOC has been providing training opportunities since 2003. Its mission is to provide realistic operational training opportunities to the warfighter in a secured networked environment. It is the center point connecting 20+ different aircrew training device communities to 10 different training networks.

AVT Simulation has partnered with two small businesses in this effort: Critical Design Associates (CDA) and the service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) St. Mortiz Enterprise. Team AVT will be providing the software and hardware needed for a Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) Virtual Desktop Environment (VDE) System.

The objective of our effort will be to transform and consolidate the legacy environment. This consists of multiple graphic intense high-end desktop computers used to stimulate networked simulators or live weapons across the world. It will be transformed into a bundled, COTS package of servers, clustered together that specialize in providing virtual environments via images stored on the server in a secure server room.
