As an emerging small business, quality assurance is a critical element of our company's growth. Commensurate with its importance, AVT quality assurance is the direct responsibility of the company president, Robert Abascal. Our Quality Assurance (QA) plan establishes procedures, metrics, and standards to ensure that we meet customer quality requirements and regulatory requirements, and achieve continual improvement toward company objectives and customer expectations. Quality Assurance (QA) for support services begins with listening to the customer to understand the requirements. Performance metrics will be based on contract and specification requirements. The AVT Program Manager has the responsibility to ensure that requirements are understood, documented and communicated to the AVT team, including subcontractors. Quality work is the result of quality people: The AVT Program Manager has the responsibility to identify and apply the required resources - including employees and subcontractors. AVT's QA policies require that work be organized, staffed, and monitored to meet customer requirements and expectations. Regular customer feedback is a key element of AVT's approach to meeting customer expectations on each Task Order. AVT plans to gain ISO 9000 certification of our quality system within the next two years. Our selection of AMSEC-SAIC as a teammate was largely based on their track record as a quality supplier of support services for the US Navy. AMSEC-SAIC facilities are certified for software development up to CMMI level 5. We hope to utilize our close relationship with SAIC's Orlando Operation to mentor AVT in the establishment of an ISO 9000 quality system and a CMMI level 3 software capability within the first 3 years of SeaPort-E contract performance
