AVT Simulation wins two-year DVTE CAN development contract
ORLANDO, FL August 12, 2010
AVT Simulation has been awarded a two-year DVTE CAN development and integration contract from PM TRASYS. As the prime contractor for this effort, AVT and its subcontractor Lockheed Martin will develop, integrate, test and field specific capabilities into the current Deployable Virtual Training Environment (DVTE) baseline. This development is focused on the improvement and enhancement of the DVTE Combined Arms Network (CAN) training capabilities that support the Marine Corps training program. AVT will serve as the developer, integrator and tester of the CAN. AVT Simulation will also serve as the primary source of integrating and testing of the Infantry Tool Kit (ITK).
DVTE is being developed to simulate and stimulate a wide variety of weapons systems and platforms including C4I devices such as Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Target Laser Designation System (TLDHS), and Blue Force Tracker. C4I systems shall be integrated giving the Warfighter the opportunity to train with real tactical gear in a simulated environment.
