AVT Simulation Completes Enhancements to UK MoD Army Command & Tactics Trainer
Orlando, Florida, 15 May 2006, AVT Simulation, Inc. -- announced the successful completion of a subcontract to Evans & Sutherland for system upgrades to the UK MoD Army Command Tactics Trainer (ACTT) located at the UK School of Army Aviation in Middle Wallop.
Under the contract, AVT designed and integrated system enhancements to existing trainers supporting multiple phases of training for the WAH-64 Apache Longbow, and Lynx platforms. The ACTT is composed of the following components: • 12 Reconfigurable student stations • Instructor Operater System (IOS), After Action Review (AAR), Mission Planning, Comms • Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) • Tactical simulation with SAF/CGF AVT Simulation provided the flight & weapons models, the avionics, and ASE simulation, and the interfaces for the crew controls,, the mission planning system, the network and sound system, the IOS, and the AAR station. AVT also played a key part in the overall system integration and test.
